More about Me

While at Cairo University, I joined my Department’s literary and cultural-activity group known as the English Department Cultural Society (EDCS). Under the EDCS, I have moderated a couple of seminars and I hosted several poetry recitals (since 2011). I was the Editor-in-Chief of the poetry and creative writing  magazine The Muse between 2006 and 2015.

Since 2010, I have been working as a Translator with the English-Arabic-English language pairs. I studied a bit of German in the hopes of adding it to my language pairs and because I love learning languages. While I have stopped my German classes, I hope to start again (or start over) also with the hope of reading some German literature in the - ehem far - future.

I was the Editor-in-Chief of HR Revolution Middle East magazine in 2015 till 2016; an online magazine focused on the work and HR fields in Egypt in particular and the world as whole. More about us here. We publish articles and interviews in English, Arabic and German. You can also request a translation of your work for the magazine from or to one of these languages.

In 2013, I began writing detailed book reviews and discovered I LOVE WRITING THEM (especially since I’ll be scribbling notes in any book, or ebook, I lay my hands on).
I have worked as a book reviewer with Author Alliance and now I provide book reviews through submissions to my email or through various book tour organisers.
